INTRO: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
A SEASON is a set timeframe. a certain time frame characterized by particular (climatic) conditions.
The Hebrew term most often translated as “time” is “ayt,” which actually denotes the precise moment or period of time during which anything takes place. For everything, there is a season (a period of time), but everything also has its time (a specific moment when something happens). Seasons are easily understood, but the notion of “time” is more challenging to grasp and comprehend. Time is a strange concept.
Time is a major issue to mankind and does not bind God, but understanding the different times in our lives can help us trust God more.
The most important idea is that it is the season, but not yet the TIME, that many of us face throughout life. Pruning, fertilizing, and watering are all important steps in preparing for a special function.
